Orientations for New Faculty, New Instructors and Academic Leaders -
Each August, faculty who have joined Texas A&M over the past calendar year convene at New Faculty Orientation (NFO) to connect with one another, hear from university leadership and interact with campus resources. NFO is required for all new faculty.
- 2023 New Faculty Orientation – Aug. 8-9
Our New Faculty Academy (NFA) will provide faculty that are new to Texas A&M with skills and resources to promote success in faculty teaching and student learning. NFA will offer plenary and concurrent sessions related to “hitting the ground running” as an instructor at Texas A&M. NFA is required for all new faculty with teaching responsibilities.
- New Faculty Academy – Aug. 10-11
At New Academic Leader Orientation (NALO), recently appointed or re-appointed academic leaders (e.g., department head, dean and academic vice president titles) come together to gain fresh perspectives on the faculty experience at Texas A&M and to explore their responsibilities with respect to the leadership of faculty and the academic enterprise. NALO is required for all new academic leaders.
