New Faculty Hiring Initiatives -

The ACES Plus Program was created to ensure the presence of promising faculty from underrepresented demographics as the University continues to pursue impactful means of providing the highest quality undergraduate and graduate education experiences. To help develop new cultural understanding across campus through research, creativity teaching and service, the Vice President for Faculty Affairs - in partnership with the Office for Diversity - will allocate funds for the hiring of new mid-career and senior faculty candidates that share the unique ethnic, gender-based, cultural and life experiences of our A&M student body.

The President’s Eminent Faculty Hiring Program is a reflection of the priority Texas A&M places on the recruitment of faculty members who are national academy members or honorees of equivalent bodies. To incentivize recruitment, the Vice President for Faculty Affairs will allocate funds specifically for the hiring of qualified candidates.

Please work with your Department Heads and Deans to help identify and recruit oustanding faculty to our working and learning community.

Highlighting The Path Forward Approved Working Group Implementation Report -

Outlined as of Approval Date - May 23rd, 2022

Working Group 21Student Organizations will be tiered into a level of affiliation-by-level of risk Quadrant system. Student leaders and faculty advisors will be required to complete Quadrant-specific training annually. Student Organization members must be Texas A&M students. The Student Organization Development Administration (SODA) and Leadership and Service Center (LSC) will merge within the Department of Student Activities to facilitate a prioritization of Student Organization Leadership Development. All Student Organization conduct processes will be transitioned into the Student Conduct Office. An Advisor Incentive Program will be implemented to provide financial support or a service activity component for advising student organizations.

Working Group 29 – A new centralized system for shared oversight of all endowment and gift accounts will be established within the Texas A&M Foundation (TAMF). An ‘office of gift oversight’ will manage a centralization of processes intended to provide a more consistent donor experience which should lead to better long-term philanthropic outcomes. A comprehensive “gift database” will allow accurate gift awarding and reporting, as well as standardized review of gift agreements. Administrators that currently manage fiduciary spending and steward gifts will remain in their current units to preserve the historical knowledge and familiarity within those respective departments, while reporting to this new office.
